Description de la mission

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Paris office. We’re looking for someone with the ability to think strategically and creatively, and with experience and passion for developing and expressing new ideas and opportunities.

You should be self-propelled by a relentless curiosity, resourceful in scouring the world for insight, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

You should have experience generating powerful consumer insights, developing breakthrough innovation ideas, and contributing to the creation of new products, services, and business models for our clients across a range of industries.

We have a rapidly growing team of thirty working out of our Cambacérès office in Paris 8ème. Our office environment is open, modern, and bright; our working culture is dynamic, creative, and collaborative.

Your responsabilities

As a Senior Consultant in our Consumer Strategy team, you would be responsible for:

  • Performing in-depth industry and trends research, extracting key takeaways and organizing them into actionable and digestible documents
  • Identifying needs and desires of consumers, frictions, pain points, and potential opportunities
  • Stimulating and inspiring multidisciplinary teams – both internally and externally
  • Building key deliverables to be presented to senior executives in our client organizations: ability to communicate sharp and concise message through well-articulated slide decks

  • Designing, coordinating and managing qualitative research activities—from traditional focus groups, to digital diaries and communities, to agile testing methodologies
  • Generating and articulating truly transformational consumer insights
  • Developing new product, service and business model ideas
  • Writing and optimizing concise and compelling concepts (prototyping is a plus)

  • Leading project teams, typically alongside an Engagement Manager but sometimes on your own
  • Managing the design and development of new products, services and business model solutions
  • Regularly interfacing with senior clients as one of, or the primary, relationship manager(s)
  • Generating innovation ideas, thinking creatively and inspiring ideas in others with the ability to describe and define those ideas to the team.

Your future

Your experiences as a Senior Consultant would be designed to help you develop a broad range of relevant skills, and prepare you for a potential transition to a role as an Engagement Manager. In addition to regular team training sessions, you would be assigned a mentor to work with you on building specific skills and capabilities aligned to pre-defined professional development goals.

Profil

You should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent), and a minimum of two years experience working for an innovation consulting firm, a design firm, or within a corporate innovation team.

You should also have significant experience leading a cross-functional team and collaborating with clients and external partners.

You should be a lateral thinker adept at uncovering the themes and critical pieces of information that can spark game-changing innovations.

You should be comfortable in a highly charged idea-centric environment, fascinated with changing the world, able to move seamlessly from high altitude thinking to the tangible and practical, and be comfortable—if not, at home—in ambiguity and uncertainty.

You likely consider yourself to be the most creative and restless member of whatever company you’re currently working for.

You should be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Creative Problem-Solving. You should have an intuitive ability for identifying gaps in markets and developing new markets in those gaps.
  • Creative Sensibilities. You should have an aesthetic appreciation, and ideally, experience working with creative teams across a range of disciplines and deliverables. Experience in branding, naming, graphic design, and/or experience design is a plus.

  • World-Class Presentation Skills. You would be interacting on a regular basis with senior executives, and should therefore demonstrate the ability to construct and deliver inspiring and convincing arguments verbally as well as on paper.

  • Strong Opinions. You should be prepared to defend your opinions and perspectives and be able to support them with lateral and insightful commercial and strategic rationale.
